Student Abductions

Each week across the United States, there is an attempt or an actual abduction of a student in the primary and secondary grades while at or traveling to/from school.  School security extends beyond the grounds of the schools as it relates to awareness.  Parents, Teachers, Staff and Students must have information about prevention strategies.  Awareness is the least expensive and most effective method of security training that can be implemented.  Clear visitor policies must be established and strictly adhered to for maximum effectiveness.  While shootings garner the most publicity, abductions and attempted abduction are clearly more prevalent.  The below are based on news accounts and is not intended to be a comprehensive study or report.
